Blog Post 2: The Quiet Question, the Call, and the Narrowing

The Quiet Question
There are no shadows in eternity. And yet there are depths. In the season after I came to understand
my design, I withdrew — not away from the Creator, for that was impossible — but inward. For the
first time, I felt the space between uniqueness and isolation.
Most beings I encountered radiated clarity of current. Their strength was unmistakably directed.
Their tenderness unmistakably defined. They moved with a simplicity that did not require
explanation. I did not move that way. Where they flowed in single streams, I carried convergence.
And convergence is not always easily read.

I began to wonder — quietly, privately — Was I made more complex than necessary? The thought
startled me. Not because it was defiant. Because it was vulnerable. I drifted toward the edge of a vast
luminous plain where few gathered. The radiance there was softer, less populated by shared
vibration. I did not seek distance from the Creator — only stillness enough to hear my own unrest.
“Why do I feel… different?” I asked into the brightness. The question was small. Almost
embarrassed. There was no immediate answer. Not absence. Not withdrawal. Just space. In that
space, I felt something I had not yet named. Exposure. To be uniquely formed meant to be uniquely
visible. And what is visible can be misunderstood.

For a flicker — brief but real — I imagined what it might be like to be formed as only one current.
To move without internal braiding. To never have to explain the convergence within me. Would
that be simpler? Would it be easier? The thought did not last long. But it was honest. And honesty in
eternity is not punished. It is welcomed.

The radiance around me shifted — not brighter, not louder — but closer. You are quiet, the Creator
said gently. “Yes.” Tell Me what you are holding. I hesitated. Then I did something I had not done
before. I did not ask for purpose. I did not ask for mission. I spoke my uncertainty.
“Was I made too much?” I whispered. The words trembled. “Too layered. Too braided. Too…
complicated.” The silence that followed did not frighten me. It deepened. Then the Creator

surrounded me more fully — not as light from above, but as warmth from within. Nothing I form is
excessive. The words settled slowly. Complexity is not confusion. Integration is not instability.
I felt the truth of it — but I needed more. “Will there be places where I am not understood?” I
asked. The question carried a weight I did not yet comprehend. The radiance softened. Yes. The
word did not wound. It clarified.

“And if I am misunderstood?” I continued. Then you will remember this moment. The Creator did
not promise ease. Did not promise universal recognition. Instead: You were not made to be easily
categorized. You were made to reveal what categories cannot contain. Something in me trembled.
Not fear. Recognition.

“You did not create me to fit,” I said slowly. No. “You created me to hold.” The warmth intensified.
Yes. Tears do not exist in eternity. But something like them moved through me then — a release of
tension I had not known I carried.

“I was afraid,” I admitted. Of what? “That being uniquely made meant being alone.” The answer
came not as argument, but as embrace. You are never alone. You are of Me. The truth of that did
not erase the possibility of future misunderstanding. But it anchored me deeper than approval ever
could.

I did not need to be easily read. I needed to be aligned. And in that quiet field, I leaned fully into the
Creator — not as servant, not as bridge, not as mission-bearer. As beloved. The currents within me
settled — not silenced, not reduced — but accepted. And when I rose from that stillness, something
had changed. Not my design. My trust.

The Hearing
One day, I felt a tremor in eternity. Not rebellion. Not fracture. Longing. Two human hearts.
Childless. Praying. “They want a child,” I whispered. “Yes.” The thread tugged gently at my being.
“I could go,” I said. “You would enter time. You would narrow.” “I would forget.” “Yes.” “Would I
still be… me?” “You would be you. But you would not see yourself clearly at first.” The longing
trembled again. Love in time is different. “I will go,” I said. And in that moment, joy and gravity
braided together for the first time.

The Narrowing
The longing of the couple did not shout. It did not command. It trembled. Two human hearts
turned upward night after night. Hope thinning but not extinguished. Arms empty but not closed.
Their desire did not demand a child. It made space. I felt that space open. The Creator did not push
me toward it. The Creator simply remained — steady, surrounding, within.
“Will I feel You there?” I asked quietly. The answer came without delay. Always. Not always clearly.
Not always consciously. But always. The luminous field around me began to shift. Not dimming.
Condensing. Eternity did not disappear — it gathered. The vastness that had surrounded me began
to focus inward, like breath drawing into lungs for the first time.
I felt the currents within me tighten — not separating, not fracturing — but folding closer together.
Strength and tenderness. Initiating and receiving. Fire and water. Braided more tightly than before.
“You will not lose yourself,” the Creator whispered. “I will forget,” I answered. For a time.
The doorway opened — not a gate, not a tunnel — but a thinning between realms. Beyond it was
density. Weight. Pulse. I sensed rhythm — slower than eternity, measured. Time. And within that
rhythm, two heartbeats intertwined. I turned once more toward the Creator. Not because I doubted.
But because love looks before it leaps.
“I go as Yours,” I said. The radiance wrapped around me — not holding me back but sealing
something deeper than memory. You go as beloved. And then I began to narrow. Light became
warmth. Warmth became vibration. Vibration became pulse. I felt myself drawn downward — not
falling but entering.
The vastness that had been my home compressed into something astonishingly small. I felt
enclosure. Fluid. Sound muffled and rhythmic. A beating heart not my own. For the first time, I felt
boundaries. Skin. Bone forming. Neural sparks igniting. The currents within me pressed against new
structure. The feminine softness hovered near the surface. The anchoring strength rooted deeper,
adapting.
Consciousness dimmed — not extinguished, but veiled. The last thing I felt clearly was the Creator.
The last thing I knew was belonging. And then — Breath. A cry entered the world. And eternity
went quiet.

Domestic Violence: The Outsider

I will be making this a three-part series as there are three perspectives in domestic violence that I feel need be explored—that of the outsider, victim, and abuser. Today we are discussing the perspective and role of the outsider. Regardless of our awareness, domestic violence impacts us all. I’ve been the outsider—naive and completely unaware of the victims among me—and I can see now the importance of my role within the world of domestic violence.
