The test is straightforward and takes just 15-20 minutes to complete. It uses a webcam to track your movements while you perform a simple task on a computer screen. Preparing for Your QbCheck Assessment

Device

You will need a laptop, computer, or MacBook with a built-in webcam. Please note that QbCheck does not work on smartphones, iPads, Chromebooks, or Surfaces.

Power

Plug your device into a power outlet to avoid running the test in battery mode. Ensure your power settings are set to 'High Performance'.

Internet

A stable internet connection is required. Please use either Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your browser.

Environment

Find a quiet, distraction-free space. Close all other browsers and programs to optimize the performance of your device. Avoid direct sunlight or bright lighting behind you.

Seating

Use a sturdy chair with a backrest but no armrests or wheels. For children under 12, a stool is recommended.

Appearance

Ensure your face is fully visible and uncovered. Headwear or facial decorations may cause issues, but glasses are fine.

Starting Your QbCheck Assessment

Preparation

You'll be given 12 simple instructions to get ready for the test.

Rating Scale

You will be prompted to rate your behavior.

Computer Check

The system will check your test conditions and environment, including your seating position and lighting.

Instructions

You will receive detailed instructions for the computer task.

Ability & Real Test

You will be asked to complete a 1-minute ability test and then the full 15 or 20 minute test.

Report

Your therapist will review your results with you in a follow-up session.

What to Expect from Your QbCheck

You might feel like you didn’t perform well during the test, but please don’t be concerned! The test is designed to be challenging to assess your ability to sustain attention, impulse control, and level of activity. There is no such thing as “pass or fail,” and the test is not dependent on your language, reading, or mathematical skills.

The webcam tracks movements only and does not record images. Your results are anonymized and processed in accordance with local data protection regulations. The test takes about 15-20 minutes to complete, but you should allow for additional time for the initial setup and rating scales.

If you have a technical issue or get interrupted, you can restart the test at a more appropriate time. If the issue prevents you from performing the test, please contact your provider for assistance.
