Melodie M. Cabitac, MSSW, LCSW
Therapist
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a passionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a deep commitment to supporting individuals from all walks of life, including those within the LGBTQIA+ community. My journey in this field has provided me with the privilege of working with diverse populations, allowing me to understand and appreciate the unique experiences and challenges that each person faces. My areas of specialty include gerontology, military mental health, and helping individuals cope with chronic illnesses. I firmly believe that everyone deserves to feel empowered and inspired to improve their emotional well-being. My approach centers around building a trusting relationship where we can openly discuss your feelings and experiences. Together, we will identify healthy coping strategies and process emotions in a way that feels safe and supportive. I pride myself on creating individualized treatment plans tailored to your specific goals and needs. I draw upon a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based empowerment. I believe that every person has inherent strengths that can be harnessed, and I am here to help you discover and utilize those strengths. In addition to my general practice, I have significant experience addressing trauma—whether it’s medical trauma, moral injury, combat-related PTSD, or other complex emotional challenges. I understand that it takes immense courage to confront these difficult issues, and I want you to know that you are not alone in this journey. As your therapist, I will be by your side, providing guidance, support, and encouragement every step of the way. Together, we can work towards a brighter, healthier future.
