Some people hold negative views or fears when it comes to discussing our problems, which can lead them to suffer in silence. There is strength in speaking up and speaking out, and power in acknowledging our experiences. What makes the difference for many people is having a supportive space to do so.
In my therapeutic practice, it is essential to me that my clients feel safe, seen, and heard. I prioritize empathy and acceptance in my helping relationships. I am here to walk alongside you as you process and grow, not to dictate your progress for you. Honesty and transparency are important in a healthy therapeutic relationship, and I value my clients’ voices, thoughts, opinions, and experiences. I also believe in showing up authentically as ourselves, both in and out of therapy, and I strive to embody this principle myself.
I operate from a holistic and eclectic perspective in my counseling practice, meaning I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities and approaches to best tailor my support to each client’s unique needs. I have experience in existential counseling, person-centered counseling, CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), expressive arts counseling, group work, and more. I also work to address and acknowledge struggles clients may face outside of the therapy room, such as financial and resource concerns.
My ultimate goal as a therapist is to support you as you grow, however that looks for you. I love helping my clients become more grounded in authenticity so they can become their most congruent selves, empowering them to experience fulfilling and meaningful lives. I acknowledge that the process can be scary and challenging, so I want to remind you that it is brave to unpack and address all that you experience. If you are ready to open the next chapter on your journey, I would be honored to help you along the way.
